Dell Inspiron 530 BIOS "Exchange" even possible?
I had just restored a Dell 530 PC Desktop for a classroom, and I had a finicky time with it attempting to boot from USB as it had not only set it to "Floppy" First, but also had apparently done some weird permissions issue from having one of the Settings in the SATA section enabled. After fixing that little predicament and replacing the OS with Windows 10, (You know, Something more User friendly then that Vista Crap,) I came to lament the whole trouble I found myself in from the BIOS earlier. So I decided since the PC is extremely old, I might as well Update its BIOS. Well Turns out that is the Latest, and Most Updated version since 2009, (According to the computer's record of when the BIOS was last Updated Supposedly.) That, and Downloading the Update Matched both versions, So I kind of got a little annoyed there.
So I'm thinking that there should be a way to completely flash the device with a different BIOS installed entirely should it? I mean I remember, I don't know how I got to this site's conversation, nor the site itself, thinking back, some forum's board was talking about some BIOS problems and if he Could install a completely different BIOS on it, (To which I think one of the Guy's linked him to some Linux Page of "Alternative" BIOS's and Crap.) I can't remember it well to find those pages of "Custom" BIOS's, nor can I seem to find that particular Page of where I located the conversation, But regardless, I was Hoping in theory to give this Computer a BIOS that has a lot more Features on it that should be compatible with the motherboard, somewhat similar to the BIOS look and aesthetic feel that of the BIOS that HP laptops seem to have. If cross contamination is even possible that is.
I appreciate any feedback of Alternatives, Thank you for Listening.
