Updated two very old machines on 17th one with a Dual Pentium and used the Assistant which told me there wasn't enough space but this was because my 30gb SSD was full as WU had downloaded the update already so used disk cleanup to restore space and used the Assistant to do the upgrade. The second machine with a Core 2 Duo I used the MCT ISO on a USB drive to do an in-place upgrade. I have backups for both machines using Macrium but so far they haven't been needed. No problems of note so far and using BitDefender Free as an AV. Nice to see MS is still supporting old CPUs/machines as these machines were built around 2008.

Banger grab a 120GB Samsung 850 Evo. They are going really cheap these days. Why not take the Core 2 Duo and do a CPU upgrade on that machine. I still have two other machines that I am debating on swapping out the CPU's to still stay with having enough horsepower to use them with Windows 10 if I ever have to. I have yet to really make a full image of the one system that I do run 10 on, since it is not more than a box to have if my wife needs Office or work from home. I will say that with the CPU change, the one machine that I do have is running better than it did with the Core 2 Duo.

    Here's an oddity....

For some odd reason after sometime in Edge, (around an hour) it suddenly loses focus and I can't right click links and copy them. Same goes for text or images. I have to use Ctrl +C to copy. Or completely close out of Edge and go back in again. Didn't have this till after the Fall Update.

    Anyone else seeing this?
Happens with firefox too , but you actually loose every function via right click .......... right click just stops working period

I am quite happy with my Core 2 Duo it is fast enough (3ghz) E8400 for me I am not sure I want to mess with a system that is working perfectly unless the C2D dies. As for Samsung Evo I have never been keen on them my brand of choice is Crucial. I just upgraded the C2D machine to 8gb ram from Crucial the Pentium machine wont take more than 4gb.

Event ID 10016 for every time I launch Chrome or Vivaldi. I can still use the browsers its just that it appears every time.

Also this morning I had got a Event ID 1000 today since my nvidia control panel wouldn't start so I had to reboot.

    All working here

5 computers with various hardware in this household all working with the fall update.

I did end up having to install some older Nvidia drivers for my custom build as windows did not detect my vid card as being Nvidia and setting the resolution properly. Went back to some older drivers and all working well now.

Not worried i may have wanted to do a clean install of 16299.19 or just have that version ISO for repair. Would not want to go through installing Oct. 17 update after it again
You will have to slipstream the CU to get an ISO to 16299.19

I have video problems on a desktop with a Nvidia card which may be ok now, don't turn on every day. On a Dell laptop, February 2017 build
where the video settings don't hold after a reboot. Instead of a blue screen it boots to a black screen. Have the latest Intel video driver and no other problems. I think all manufactures use Intel video drivers, but still checking if Dell comes up with another driver.
