Windows 10. Screen keeps turning off very few seconds!

I have the screen blackout problem, only worse than those described here. The screen goes black after about 3 seconds and I have to move my cursor -- over and over this continues. Eventually the on-time gradually increases but until then I can't do anything with my computer because it is so distracting. The turnoff time is set to 15 minutes and sleep time set to Never. I tried everything recommended on this web site with no solution. (Windows Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063)

Build 1506 is about two updates back in time. You need to keep up with updates from Microsoft Update. I believe I posted the fix two years ago in this very thread 0n 29 October 2015.

Screen keeps going black every 10-25 seconds for a few seconds.

I have had a screen-off problem now for over a month and have posted several times. Every 10-25 seconds the screen turns black for several seconds. I updated Windows 10 to 1709 Build 16299.64 but it does not help. It is impossible to work under those conditions. Please help!

I am on Windows 10 Pro x64 with four monitors (1920x1080) with a MSi GeForce GTX 960 on a Xeon 6-core processor. My monitors sometime act like that, but seldom for more than a minute.
One cause is that Microsoft installs my video device driver and OS updates whenever they wish, regardless of my restrictive update settings. Sometimes that goes on for a few minutes. That peeves me.
It also happens when I start program requesting admin privileges. It all goes blank before and after the pop-up to accept or reject admin privileges.
It may also happen when I drag a window to another monitor. Usually it's when I drag a windows playing video.

In other words, it happens, but it's not a constant problem as you describe it. You might wish to download the latest drivers for all of your hardware, and apply those updates. Just remember Microsoft is likely to replace them without notice. Of course, you need to verify all of your hardware is compatible with the version of Windows you are running, and consider there may be a conflict between devices.

Your upgrade may have hiccuped. You can make yourself a DVD of the complete installation of 1709 and do a non-destructive update-in-place using DISM.

Let us know what you find.
