How Do I Disable The Windows Login Screen Every Time We Reboot?

Hello Brink, if I may briefly intrude in hopes of getting help on this puzzle? I did follow all your clear tutorials but that sentence was already unchecked on my computer so it still continued to ask for the pw each time. Is there another way to solve this very annoying glitch? Thanks ever so much.

Hello again Brink, I'm writing form my new Lenovo laptop (with a different email addy) as my desktop (registered here as nuevadela@rcn.com) is suffering from so many weird things that I can't write even for 2 minutes without serious problems. I wanted to tell you that it was in this new laptop where I had to sign in with my password each time everywhere, at start up or upon awakening, despite my having unchecked the sentence that keeps it locked. BUT....today miraculously this new laptop did let me in without signing in. I have no clue why it kept locked up from me before, and why suddenly has opened up for me without more ado..... Crazy lol!

Please forgive if I, involuntarily, made this post more complicated... But I wanted to report my results. Adela

    Hello @Adela,

If it's wanting your password at startup, then you may have entered the password incorrectly in netplwiz. You might setup netplwiz again to see if that may be the issue.

If this is at wakeup from sleep or hibernate instead, then:

Here's how to get to the screen saver settings. Step 7 is for the box to uncheck.
