How to make my laptop's performance better

Hello everyone my friend bought a new laptop with some cool features.
    Model: aspire es 15 e51-523-89l2Processor: amd quad core a8-7410Graphic card : amd radeon r5 graphicMemory : 8gb ddr3 L memory
    Hard drive :1TB hdd

As he open it I saw that the hard drive is making a lot of processes and RAM + Processor either.
When we are trying to play some games , like LoL(League of legends) he's playing with 50 fps and low. I don't really know why is this happening and I don't know how to solve this. Laptop is new like 1 week old. Hard drive is empty either.
Is a Windows update problem? Do we need to install all the latest updates? I read somewhere that better is not installing em. What is the best?
If I make a format in his laptop will be solved?
Do i have to do something like downgrade windows?( I don't know if are some drivers about that cause mostly they are coming with windows 10 and you cannot downgrade it)
What is this and why it is happening ?

    Thank you in advance!

Hi, not sure quite what this means, I'm afraid. Do you mean:
    1. There's a lot of drive activity (just after he logs in?) (e.g. LED flashing indicating activity)
    2. There are a lot of processes running
    3. A lot of CPU resources are being used - high %
    4. A lot of RAM is being used- quantity? %?

Note- it is normal to see a lot of activity just after logging in as startups are loaded. But this should subside and ideally you will see <3% CPU use, and no disk or internet use when the PC is nominally idle.

So... please post a screenshot of your task manager, say 2 minutes after logging on, organising any columns of interest high to low by clicking on the relevant column tab. Repeat for different columns if useful.
To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post to the left of the video icon. Thanks.

Then do a clean boot (see Tutorial section or search if unsure how to do that)

    and repeat the above.

Please also complete your system specs (see mine for comparison), including details of your disk(s).

    What is the Windows build?
    Windows key + R, winver

When you're happy with the idle state of your PC, you can try benchmarking your graphics:
    e.g,

and comparing it with other people's systems as that says.

(There are many such tools- choose one that suits you).
