Disabled Real Time Protection - now ON/OFF button greyed out

    Hi!

Some time ago I disabled Windows Real time protection by following some guide I googled. I guess I got annoyed by the fact that it turned itself on all the time so I wanted to permanently disable it. I might have done so by making simple edits in the registry. Wha happend is that the ON button in the settings would grey out as well as the status that is usually green and says on (in green).

Now I wanted to activate it again and I did so in the registry and now status says on (in green ) and the real time protection seems to be on. But when I got to the settings page now the ON/OFF button is greyed out so I cant disable it temporarly if I wanted to.

    Have I broken it permanently?

Why don't you try to Google the site that told you how to do what you did, maybe they have a fix for it.

    This may help
