System Error Log Kernel-Power EventID 137 SleepState 4
Hi,
Every time I manually put my PC into sleep mode by using StartKey > Power > Sleep, another instance of this error is recorded in System Error log:
This entry in the log is the only evidence of error I can discern. I haven't noticed any performance degradation nor do I see any pop-up errors.Code:Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 9/6/2017 9:26:33 AM Event ID: 137 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: (4) User: N/A Computer: AO40 Description: The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in reduced resume performance. Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" /> <EventID>137</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x8000000000000004</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2017-09-06T13:26:33.961769100Z" /> <EventRecordID>37891</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="4" ThreadID="6432" /> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer>AO40</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data Name="SleepState">4</Data> </EventData> </Event>
I'd be happy to just ignore these entries in the log unless there's an easy fix.
Thank you for your advice,
Dee
