    Video player small stutter

I don`t know is this a windows 10 problem or not, but I will post here. On Win10 when I open video files I always got a small mouse stutter (0.5s stutter). I tryed with Poplayer and now I am using MPC, same situation. It a estetic problem but I would like to get rid of it. Any ideas?

Maybe source of problem is that I installed POT player codecs? How to revert to default windows codecs?

You don't really need to install codecs for Windows 10, only for specialist devices/software.

If you DO need codecs, Shark007's are among the best.

In media player classic when I select Playback - Output - System default stuttering is gone but I cannot play subtitles. Also I installed SMplayer which works normaly....

If I want to install that shark007 codec pack I must use windows media player that to work?

Media codecs installed like that are system wide, Pot player comes with own set of codecs but they are for Pot player's use only. Try VLC player, it also comes with own codecs.
Are you playing them from internal disk or USB stick ?
Do you have proper drivers for GPU ?
    Another place to check:

Great suggestion, I`ve been using VLC for years, and it`s always worked great.

In VLC player is the same situation. Mouse stutter for 0.5-1.0s. No changes when I play it form SSD, HDD or USB. I already have those setting in Power settings. I tried to change to High perfomance, problem is still here. GPU driver are normal, everything is installed correctly. I think this problem happened when I installed Pot player and with him I installed his codec.

This is the picture of Media player classic settings that stutters:

When I change to this, no stutter but I can`t load any subtitle:

This is the setting of SMplayer that doesn`t stutter but I don`t like that player:

Seems to me that only solution for this problem is to reinstall Windows

EDIT.: can I load that Shark codecs into media player classic?

Okay I've used PotPlayer for some time on Windows 7 and now on Windows 10. I've found that it needs some tweaking to get the best results plus all settings need to be saved in an .ini file. That file can be backed up and also deleted for troubleshooting purposes.

Now I reckon problems occur when installing more than one media player as some media players install shell extensions for thumbnail previews.

    My thoughts:

Uninstall all media players using GeekUninstaller and if you don't use Windows Media Player disable it in "turn windows features on/off"

Pick the media player that you want to use as default for video and install it. If you want to use other players the use the portable versions only without associating any file types.

I deleted all my player with Geek unistaller.
When I tyed to install PotPlayer aditional codec I got a message that PotPlayer stopped working.
I installed MADVR and set setting in it than I set it in PotPlayer as Video renderer. On that link you gave me in post five I cound,7t understand other option, I think there were pictures missing. For now it works. Still testing.

If I want to let say change it to Media player classic I need to unistall pot player and install MPC and just switch inside MPC to MadVR?
