Windows Key

I bought Windows 8 and then Updated to 8.1. I used keyfinderthing to get my Key from Windows 8.1. That key is different then the key that was in the email after I bought Windows 8. Did the key change when I updated to 8.1?

I never got the notification on the task bar to reserve a copy of Windows 10. I am a Windows Insider member.

Yes it is a different key for 8.1, you need to have done all the updates to get the notification.

I have done all updates. There is one update that ends in 2664 that I do not have. Is this update for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1?
