I did not see those on our desktop. I do not use the apps on it, so I have removed them. Programs and Features under Windows updates, sorted by date, should show the related KB, also check the Store to see if it shows latest updates, which is where those two would have come from.

Hello, I have recently posted an identical post into the 'Updates' section of this Forum. I've no idea what it it and in light of current questionable scams etc I think Microsoft should be making their Updates more clear and understandable.
    Yorky.
App updates come from the store. Last Skype update was 7/23/17. I cannot find anything on the other app and why it was updated.

It's Movies & TV, you can see its product ID 9WZDNCRFJ3P2 in this url for Movies & TV on the store:

I just had another gobbledygook update as shown below. Correlating with The Store Updates page shows it's probably the Films & TV app.

Yes I had that one yesterday for films show as gobbledegook as did a Netflix one this morning. Mail and calendar got another update overnight (how many times do Microsoft have to keep updating this app?!) and this one seems immune to the issue as it always displays correctly in reliability history

Good find. I've found you can identify the offending app by Googling the offending ID. I had 9WZDNCRFJ3P3 reported in Reliability History a few days ago and this turns out to be YPMobile https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/stor...e/9wzdncrfj3p3

I don't have YPMobile but I do have the Phone App. Are they the same thing?

I'm unimpressed as usual by Microsoft's QA.

Great investigation lads. Chalk another one up to MS incompetence!

Been struggling to get Spotlight to work even with the tips and tweaks provided elsewhere. I'm waiting for Creators Update now so hopefully things will be seamless in that respect.

Yes, I'm still waiting for the CU on my 3 year old Dell Inspiron laptop. I'll give the CU a whirl on the laptop only when MS think the time is right. I've deferred the CU on two desktops as long as possible via Group Policy until I feel the time is right!
