Can't change brightness, dot on slider moves, but no result

    Greetings!
I have a weird error using Windows 10: I cannot change / adjust brightness at all. I have the latest updates for every drivers, programs and all, not sure why the system does this. Sometimes the screen brightness is 100%, sometimes just 50%.
Not sure if the Catalyst Control Center is to blame, but I really need a quick solution, and until now I found none.

Okay, it turns out, that Catalyst Control Center is the fault of the problem, if you have switchable graphics...
The newest update for the CCC which can be found on windows updates has this error only, if you download it from the AMD site and install it manually and set it manually so the windows update can't override it, then you're good to go.
Now I'm waiting for Windows Update to upload the fixed CCC installment

Windows 10 pdate on 8-24-15 caused screen to dim badly!

Windows 10 has so far caused me 5 major issues (that I know of) and two costly visits to the Geek Squad, who was unable to roll back or repair my HP Dm4-3103CL's internal OEM Wi Fi, which after the original W10 install is no longer functional. They were able to repair printer drivers that would not work after W10.

Now more problems hit after installing the W10 upload (auto) on 8-24-15. Screen brightness is near unreadable, and brightness settings remain at 100%?

Microsoft appears to be on track delivering another Windows 8 fiasco launch. Microsoft seems to have lost it's edge, as their products have become terrible since XP days, when corporate America went to Windows XP and avoided leaving it for years, especially as later products appeared less bench tested and durable. When they migrated it was done slowly, making sure Microsoft had repaired problems completely to an OS or so it was hoped.

Who doesn't remember all the Microsoft (buggy) launches afterward, especially their Windows 8.0 disaster. Well, Microsoft is still on that roll with Windows 10 in my experience. A poorly launched, poorly designed and poorly tested product. This W10 is simply terrible. So why are writers in magazines so enamered with W10?

While originally I was a true blue believer in Microsoft OS and their Office products for years, as I became increasingly frustrated with their later debacles, I began buying Apple iPads and iPhones, which have worked, and keep working, after multiple IOS upgrades.

Wondering how many more W10 update (unannounced of course), before things really become functional.
