My PC was Windows 8.1 Pro
Created ISO of Upgrade - as if I reboot Now the upgrade will proceed to upgrade 8.1 to 10
gotta clone my 8.1 partition to my win10 preview partition and then let the upgrade proceed

I downloaded to W7 Pro Retail. I'm not installing, waiting for instructions from MS. I hope it retains the retail version.

If you want to make an ISO image of the actual Upgrade for your PC

Download and extract the correct Oscdimg .zip and copy the contents (files) into the Windows\System32 folder

And then run this from command prompt (admin)

    Code:
    Oscdimg -bootdata:2#p0,e,bEtfsboot.com#pEF,e,bEfisys.bin -h -m -o -u1 -udfver102 "C:\$Windows.~BT" C:\PC_Upgrade.iso
You will find the PC_Upgrade.iso on C:\
    Thank you for this info.

I'm so jealous of you all...no such file on my HDD yet
What happens if you let the computer idle for say 10 minutes so that Automatic Maintenance/Windows Update runs? Or maybe manually run Automatic Maintenance from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Action Center > Maintenance Tab > Start Maintenance. Does it start downloading then?

I'm not an Insider--well I don't think I am. So I'm anxious to see how long it takes me to get it compared to the insiders. Is there an easy way to tell if I am an Insider?

Read somewhere that the latest Win 10 Insider Prev will be upgrades to Win 10 full when it is released. A good idea to install this sooner rather than upgrading Win 7 / 8.1 to 10?
