I'm thinking for anyone who runs 8.1, or the system you reserved on, make sure to manually check for updates again, and run all of them.
I got on here a little bit ago, right after manually running those updates I posted about, saw the chatter, checked, and the BT folder was dated 4/25/2015 and 140m. Now about 3 minutes later, no download sizes, but the folder re-dated to 7-28-2015 at 12:21, and added the DUDownload folder and Sources folder under the BT folder. It took all the Panther/other folders away tho.

This is my folder. Looks like I don't have enough space to upgrade. I don't know. I may have to do a clean install.

Booted into my cloned copy of Win7 Pro 30 minutes ago and the download started after 10 minutes. I now have $Windows.~BT folder.

    Edit: download complete. 3.6GB.
I wonder what would happen if I told my computer it was July 29th?

I also just noticed that KB2952644 has also downloaded. Does this have something to do with the upgrade process?

KB2952644 installed successfully. No reboot needed.

Is it wrong for me to be so excited for this? This is the first Windows OS besides 95 and Vista that I have been legitimately hyped about.

I reinstalled 8.1 from ISO yesterday, when installing it asked me if I wanted to reserve which I did, although I had done so back when it first came available. Anyway, I don't have the reserve icon in the tray; should I? If so, what do I do to get it back (had it originally)?

Edited: Btw, my system is fully updated & compatible.

NOW it looks all there. From 140MB to 4.51G folder, and setup and bootmgr there. Image done a few days ago. Think I'm ready.
With cable as internet, looks like it took about 26 minutes, from 12:21 pm EST and last modified at 12:47pm EST. :)
