Problem to solve unmountable boot volume error with flash drive boot
Hello everyone
I have a Samsung laptop using Windows 10 and a couple of days ago a blue screen with an unmountable boot volume error showed up after booting, saying the computer would be restarted. After restart a loading recovery option message shows up with the samsung logo and then just a black screen appear and stays like that for hours.
After doing some research I downloaded the Media Creation Tool and uploaded it to my flash drive so I could boot using it and access the advanced option menu through the installation window. After that I plugged it in my laptop and tapped F2 until the BIOS menu appeared. I disabled Secure Boot and selected UEFI OS for OS boot selection, after restarting it again I now tapped F10 and a list with boot options showed, I selected my flash drive and in the first try a windows installation window appeared and I could open the advanced options menu and tried to use the command prompt to make a drive check up and restore as the instructions I found to solve this problem suggested, but the command prompt didn't start and there were just a frozen blue screen. I restarted the computer once again and this time I was going to follow the other way to solve it using the restore option in the advanced option menu.
Although, when I tried to access the menu again, it didn't work, I just got a black screen after the windows logo shows up for a few seconds and everytime I try it happens over and over again.
I'm trying to do the Media Creation Tool again but using the ISO option instead of uploading it directly to the flash drive, but I'm not sure if it's going to work.
Is there anything else I can do?
I can't create a restore drive because it needs a 32 GB flash drive and I don't have one right now.
Thanks in advance
Pedro
