    Mouse right click menu

I cannot activate the 'New' submenu to create New folders in Desktop,Explorer and existing folders. When I Mouse right click the menu opens up (View,Sort by,Refresh etc) when I move the cursor to 'New'(to open up the submenu to create a folder) the pointer changes to the hourglass and in Desktop goes black and reverts back to the Desktop Screen, In Explorer (and existing folders)same thing and exits explorer into the desktop. This happens with the cursor 'hovering'over 'New',all other commands in the submenu open ok with cursor 'hovering'and are working ok just the 'New' is broken
Explore/Desktop sshot attached to note right click menus
    Thanks in advance

Thanks dalchina, the registry default value is as noted in the fix, also the other 2 script fixes do not solve the problem, I may add the Ctr.Shift.N option does not do anything.

Please try creating a new user and checking the problem.
Why? this draws the distinction between user account corruption and Windows corruption (and possibly the influence of a 3rd party program depending on startups etc).

Dachina, Thanks that solved the problem, but how can I reconcile with the main account/admin(Me) that has all my directories, files photos etc, etc?
As the problem is as you said in your last reply, is there a fix/scan that will identify the conflict....I have ran sfc /scannow previously to try and resolve the problem but no
    Thanks,Len

Ok, good, some progress... now, I'm going to guess the more likely case is an installed program causing your symptom.

Clearly you can compare differences between the two users, if you know what to look for.

I'd suggest starting with shell extensions. For this you may need to use more than one program, as it seems no one program lists all extensions.

One of the easiest to use first is
    Shellexview
Download, install for all users, and run it on your new user account.
Now create screenshots of what it shows you.
Save these so they are accessible from your original account.

Log in to the original account, and run Shellexview.
It's convenient to create a system restore point or registry backup before starting.
Using the screenshots, you can compare what's active between the two accounts.
Hide all MS items - do not disable them!

Disable some that are only active in this account, and retry 'New folder'. (No need to log off etc).
Repeat until you've either disabled all items, or found one or more that affects New Folder.

If you do, work back to identify the culprit.

    If no luck, try
Shellmenuview, and Glary Utilities has a context menu manager. Autoruns is another, but much more comprehensive.

Right Click Context Menu-'New' command not working

When I try to create a New Folder on right click within a Folder within Explorer the mouse cursor changes to the'sand timer' and Explorer crashes and kicks back into the Desktop.I have tried about every fix I can find from sfc /scannow(no errors)to checking the context handlers registry key.. I created another user account that fixed the problem (Advice given by Darchma on this forum on an earlier post I submitted), not really wanting to go the whole hog and transfer files/apps etc is there a solution to fix it within my current profile? Event viewer log citing the issue below. Thanks in advance....usually good at fixing stuff but I'm beat on this one!
