You need a quad core or better a dual core according to Adobe won't cut it.

Is there a reason you need it to be a slimline case, and not say an full size tower?

What kind of price can you pay?

Do you need to buy local, vs mail order?

Some mail orders are good deals like egg or tiger with Intel 5's, 8 Gb and would need upgrade to 1tb from 500gb. Usually for $30 extra.

You also need 64-bit OS not 32-bit.

I can pay $100 to $226. The one I found at Computer Works in Eden (Pell City) where I live is for sale for $226.

You seem to be within right price bracket for AMD a4 $197 or Intel I5 for maybe $260, that's quick search bestbuy.com refurbished.

    With 8 Gb
    1-2 Tb HDD
I don't think we're supposed to do more than suggest things?

If a separate video card could be bought you'd be golden.

I'm Not a fan of hp/compaqs. Lenovo have hmm for repairs. And how to do's.[emoji1]

Those are both mail order with win10 Pro. Nearest bestbuy to you is Birmingham, in theory.

Don't know if they store ship for saving money.Ship between stores, for less than Street delivery and have 1year warranty.

But, in a heartbeat I'd run for an I5 Intel over an AMD CPU.And I'm mature[emoji56].

I couldn't find anything at BestBuy within that price range online. Where did you find that at?

@Frozenoem1, I definitely understand. I am going to talk to the guy about a computer on Friday. I think y'all may be right about the computer that he has picked out for me. However, I don't know the model of the computer. Once I find out, I will post back. If I can't find anything, I may go through Aarons in Pell City. They said I could lease one to own it. I would need to pay $25.00 to get the computer. Buying used or leasing one is the best that I can do. But I understand about you not wanting to text and drive. Thanks for your help!

The Celeron in your Acer is a Quad core, but a Celeron is a piece of junk, you should just see if you can max out that machine instead of buying something used.

The cpu in the Acer may be soldered to the board, I`m not sure but just googling it said it was. So....

But if you can upgrade the cpu and max out the memory to 8 GB it be better then wasting money on something else.

There are used cpu`s all over Ebay, I have maxed out every other older PC in my house and they all fly.
