    Drunk Desktop Icons

Since this morning's reboot all desktop icons have changed size and are now located on the left hand side of the screen. After returning them to the place I've selected if I re-reboot the story is the same. I am using Windows Defender at present, because one of the "how-tos" said it could be Anti-Virus Software related. I previously had Norton 360 (I tried all their fixes also)I have tried web fixes for windows 7 but none work. Any ideas "O Hall of Geniuses".
