As you can see everything is disappearing, you can't see icons, text is gone. Even the time on the task bar is gone. I have no idea what is happening. This just started today out of nowhere. I can't even troubleshoot my laptop because you can see anything. Please help 🙏

Did you update any software before this problem started? Does the problem appear in one or all user accounts?

Can you start an admin command prompt - Windows key + X, then choose Command Prompt (Admin)? From there you can run sfc /scannow to check / repair your system file. If that doesn't work, can you boot into Safe Mode and run the same check from there?

Try creating another account to see if the issue is due to a corrupted account profile.

Other options are then to try to restore your PC to an earlier date if you have a system restore point, restore from a backup if you have one or run a repair install.

Here is everything installed over the last few days: https://i.imgur.com/exSC55k.jpg
There is nothing that I can think of that would cause this.

I also did SCF /scannow & it says:

"Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations".

I also created another account by going into: settings > accounts > family and other people. I didn't create an account and still the icons had no text under them certain icons are missing.

I don't know what else to do?

SFC is useless to run don't bother. Try to uninstall and reinstall your video drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller. I had this issue once and that fixed it.

If you can't browse then use another computer to download DDU and put it on a USB flash drive to run it.

Do you have any tweakers installed? If you do, try reverting any changes (shortcut arrow removed or font changed etc.).

If nothing else, in-place upgrade could help. Follow tutorial (by Brink): repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade

Is it DDU v17.0.7.0 from Wagnardsoft?
I'll have to do it via USB bc I can't see a thing.

No tweaks the only thing I really installed recently was Microsoft word and I updated Java. Oh and I turned Windows defender back on through regedit. I posted a screenshot of everything installed in the last 3 days. I do Windows update automatically but I doubt it's that.

Not necessary installed in the last 3 days. Tweak could be done a while back. Seen something similar (just text below icons missing) happened and it was caused by a system tweak performed long ago...

Do you have any recent system restore points? System image would be better, but if you'd have it, you won't be asking for help here...

The issue with System restore is that old restore points go away. One time without doing anything all my restore points got randomly wiped.

Also here is the best place to download DDU.
Download Display Driver Uninstaller - MajorGeeks

L I reinstalled windows 10. However for some reason after I did windows updates via Settings the touch screen no longer works in the laptop is very sluggish. The re-installation of windows fixed icons and find errors but once I did a Windows update everything with the crap. My two Toahiba laptop is not that old and should not be the sluggish I have no idea what is going on?
