1 Long beep + 3 short beep Asus motherboard

Hi guys,

I have an Asus Z97A Motherboard/GTX 1080/24GB DDR3Gskill/ 500 GB SSD + 1to HDD and recently when i boot my PC i hear 1 long beep then quickly after 3 short beep.. I've searched in Asus website about the meaning of these beep and it's written that it's a Video card faulty..

But well just after these beep my pc is booting well ! and video card working well too, i've no problem playing games.

The strange thing also is that it's making these beep like 1 time every 2 or 3 days as i shut down my pc every night and when i'm going to work.

Do you have an idea of what i can do ??

EDIT : And by the way here's what i tried,

-Disable integrated graphic
-Clear CMOS
-Update Nvidia driver

Yeah that's the website i went, but as i said, after these beep, everything is alright with the GPU, no issue at all.. So i doubt that is really the case here..

The only way to really find out, is to first Reseat the video card. (ie) remove it from the computer, and then firmly place it in again. If that fails, replace the video card, or pull the video card and run the monitor off integrated graphic port. If you don't hear the beeps, then you know it is the video card.

I'll try this and come back after 2 days to say the result, as i said it's doing these beep very randomly so cannot be sure directly .. Thanks for the help by the way

Yes, reseat the GPU card. Also check the separate power cables from the PSU to the GPU card are secure. You might try replacing them if you have a modular PSU. I once had a faulty GPU power cable which was causing problems. It's also a remote possibility that you have a faulty PSU which is not supplying enough power to the GPU.
