    How to dim screen?

I tried googling Windows Ten, "how to dim screen," but the layout listed is not the layout I have. I just got Ten yesterday. How do you dim the screen?

I can't even find the options in the Display section.

Hello Fool, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Usually you won't have a screen brightness option unless you have a laptop or tablet.

What build of Windows 10 do you currently have installed?

For now, see if you may be able to use one of the options in the tutorial below to adjust your screen brightness.

That would be the edition instead of build number.

How do you dim the screen? One way that I find convenient - even though I have a Fn + key combo on my laptop's keyboard- is to use a key + the scroll wheel on my mouse.

    Download and install Volumouse (free).

You can also choose to have the scroll wheel perform a function when the cursor is hovering over the taskbar- no key press.

That would be why you don't have a screen brightness setting in Windows. You will only have it with a laptop or tablet.

You should still be able to manually adjust the brightness level from your monitor's buttons or on-screen menu. You may need to read the monitor's manual for specific details on how though.
