    Documents folders in "Quick Access", "One Drive" and "This PC"

    Hi
    I have recently updated to the creator version
    My files end up in unintended destinations. When I click in the documents tab in the sidebar of the documents screen, it takes me to a “Documents” folder that appears in “One Drive” group. Any files that I send from my desktop end up there
    Those files are also shown when I open the first “Documents” folder that appears in the “Quick Access” group. I have similar problems with “Pictures” folders
    I have attached screen shots that I hope will explain. I want all my files of any description to end up in the “Documents” folder contained in the “This PC” group. Can anyone help please?
    Incidentally, I don’t understand the purpose of “One Drive”, and don’t believe that I will have a use for it. Can I remove/disable it?

    @deemby :

    Right click and Unpin what you wish from Quick Access:

    Choose folders in One Drive Settings:

    Alternatively, uninstall OneDrive, (not recommended):

    Hi Edwin

    Thanks for getting back so quickly. I have unpinned all from quick access and unlinked one drive from my PC. When I move a file from my desktop to my documents, instead of going "This PC/documents", it goes to another folder in "ThisPC/Local user/d_emb/documents". (d_emb is part of my username for many sites but I dont recall setting up this folder and I never encountered the problem before upgrading to Creator). Incidentally, the upgrade failed and disrupted the systems adminstrator access. I had to pay someone to do clean reinstall and reload my programmes and files. Could that have produced the extra folders? I have attached two further screenshots. Documents folder has moved

    Hi

    I posed a question re one drive and documents folder. Edwin responded and I was able to resolve the issue caused by one drive. I replied to Edwin, thanking him and raising again the issue of the moving documents folder. I think that I have marked his response as solved when I was actually asking him a supplementary question which may not have been seen by anybody including Edwin so here it is again.

    When I move a file from my desktop to my documents by clicking on the documents icon in the start menu sidebar, instead of going to "This PC/documents", it goes to another folder in "ThisPC/Local user/d_emb/documents". (d_emb is part of my username for many sites but I dont recall setting up this folder and I never encountered the problem before upgrading to Creator). Do I need this account? Incidentally, the upgrade failed and disrupted the systems adminstrator access. I had to pay someone to do a clean reinstall and reload my programmes and files. Could that have produced the extra folders? I have attached two further screenshots.
