How to reserve a copy from within 10 preview?

I upgraded both of my 8.1 machines to 10 about 3 months ago and have just been using them ever since. Today I reserved my 10 upgrade on my other win7 machine. It occurs to me that I have no way of reserving an upgrade to 10 when I am already running 10. I have my product keys for 8.1 though. Anyone know if a method will be provided to those of us who have been involved in the preview to upgrade legitimately using product keys or otherwise? I don't want to reload 8.1 if I don't have to.

If you have upgraded to preview over Win7 or Win8 you will automatically have the RTM on the 29th, then can quit the Insider Program(if you so wish) and have an official Win10.

If, however, you "Clean Installed" Win10, and you wish to quit the Insider Program after the 29th, you must revert back to one of the afore mentioned OS's, then let Windows Update reinstall the needed update for the reservation, or later got to Microsoft(dot)com and get the installer later.

So, I initially did it as an update I believe, but later due to problems installed cleanly from disk. I did this on both machines. Are you saying that in order to take advantage of the free update, I have to reinstall 8 on both of my old machines? Side note, if this turns out to be the case, is there somewhere I can download an 8.1 ISO, to avoid having to load 8 first then go through the hastle of upgrade to 8.1? I only have factory DVD of windows 8

    1. Yes, but please read this thread from Mystere: Frequently Asked Questions about the WIndows 10 Free upgrade

    2. To get an 8.1 ISO you can use the link from mreasier to Microsoft or go to this tutorial from Brink: Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create
