    do we know who long to expect the free upgrade to windows 10 from windows 8? will it be 29th?

    The upgrades Start on the 29th. Depending on your hardware, where you're from, and a few other factors, it could be days, weeks or even a few months before you receive the OK to install the upgrade.

    Generally it will be Insider program members first, then people who've made a reservation. It's too late to be an Insider, but you can reserve your copy by clicking on the Windows icon in your taskbar on Windows 7 or 8.1.

Hi, I read that we can still install W10 over W7 for free using W7 key. I installed W10 from the same ISO file I used successfully many times in 2017, but this time W7 OA key was not recognized. Thoughts.....? Thanks, -BBDS
