Hey guys,
I upgraded to Win 10 today and had enabled the Long Path in Group Policy to see if its really true that Windows 10 can go beyond the 260 char limit.
But When I tried copying a folder from my computer to my Sea Gate external drive, it wouldnt copy still and had the same problem of being too long.

Note the requirement in Option 1 Step 6 picture of the GPO.
Note in particular it is not just a Windows setting that is needed:Enabling NTFS long paths will allow manifested Win32 applications and Windows Store applications to access paths beyond the normal 260 char limit per node. Enabling this setting will cause the long paths to be accessible within the process.This actually means that an application has to have the following line in its manifest:
<longPathAware>true</longPathAware>A manifest is a small file that contains additional information about the process EXE such as compatibility information and DPI-awareness etc.
Besides the app developer adding the manifest, the appropriate Group Policy setting should be enabled. This can be done using Group Policy Editor or by using a Registry tweak.
Whilst the last conclusion reached was it didn't seem to work, with the way MS changes things, and in particular the newish Creator's build, an update would be interesting. (I have the AU).
