    Can I "print to jpg / png ? "

I find that In windows every time I try to print something there is a great option -- Print to PDF

I wonder if I can print to jpg or png too ?

What is the best and the most official advice of doing this? Does it require third party software?

Note: I don't want to do this with free online PDF to image converter because I don't want my files to be recorded or archived by the provider of the service

The .jpg and .png formats are for images/pictures. Print to PDF creates a document as a .pdf/Portable Document File. I find the best thing to do with images is to save them then use a graphics editor such as Paint/MSPaint, Paint3D, GIMP, etc., to work with them. If it's something on the screen you want press the PrntScrn key [on the keyboard], open one of the programs I mentioned or any other program such as a word processor, press Ctrl+V to paste the contents of the Clipboard then save or manipulate as desired. Paint can be found in Start, W section, Windows Accessories but be aware that Microsoft is pushing toward the replacement of Paint3D.

Quick questions: (they can be useful to know to actually find a really good method without having to download other software)

    Do you use:
    • Google Chrome? If not, what internet browser?
    • Microsoft Word? If so, what version?

I was doing research earlier, and thought i saw some extensions (that don't upload to websites) that can convert your PDFs to picture files... maybe you can find something useful

    Edit:

Oh actually I just found this: Your request appears to be from an automated process

I tried a PDF on it with many pages and it converted each page to jpeg.

Just installed and tried it. It's OK, but the image quality is very low
I tried other free online trial service the resolution is very high

    Can Use Snipping Tool

I use the Windows built in Snipping Tool to simply take a snip-it of the text/page and then save as a JPEG or PNG. "Print to PDF" is good, but sometime a simple JPG is preferred for various reasons, or print is not available from where you are at.

There's another app in the Windows Store that is also some sort of PDF to Image converter. Check it out to see if it has better quality exportations.
