Created group on desktop - how to remove the group

I have only had this laptop for three days. I have accidentally (I don't know how) created a group on the desktop and four tiles have disappeared. How do I get rid of the group and get the tiles back? Thanks in advance.

Hello Tony, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

It sounds like you are referring to the full Start screen instead of the desktop.

If so, option 6 in the tutorial below can help show you how to remove a live folder by removing the tiles in the live folder back to the Start screen.

Thank you for your reply, Brink. Since I put up my original post I discovered how to get rid of a group from my start-menu. I restarted my laptop and the group appeared with all the missing tiles in it (not just the group name). I dragged the tiles off one at a time and when I dragged the last tile, the group self-destructed. Strange way to go about things but, if it works, what the heck!
