I second this here! I am having the same problem. I can open my camera and drag the photos to a folder on my desktop. Now once all the photos are there if I try to upload them to any other program or website once I go to that folder it can not see any photos. It says the folder is empty even though the photos are there...

    edit

also this is happening with folders. I can make 10 folders on my desktop. Once I go to any website were you can upload photos you can not see those folders.

I can't drag photos from my camera because it can't see them. It can see that the SD cards are not empty (just like the OP) but it still says there are no files present. I can't import into lightroom, because windows just cannot see the files.

ok so I think I might have found a way to fix this for now. I went into the camera folder and renamed the photos to just add the .jpg now it really wont change the file type as the file type is hidden but adding the .jpg to the end of all photos made them visible. I guess for now I would have to do this!

But no work here. Slartybart thanks for link, but it's not work this windows version.
Yesterday, when i go back to windows 7 before downloadding and installing final versio windows 10, I tested my my D7000 and all works fine Today installing Windows 10 problem is back..
I think that Nikon have compatibility problems with windows 10, I will send, @mail Nikon and ask them.

Thanks for the update. Post again on this if you get a response from Nikon that resolves it.

I have the same problem as Nobody and EdgarTPeacefulusing my official release upgrade from 8.1 (July 29). My Nikon D7000 interfaces with no problems on Windows 8.1 (before I upgraded) and on Windows 8.1 on a Surface 3. I also tried to download via USB and Explorer using a neighbor's Nikon D3200 and it works fine on Windows 10. Thus, it seems to be related to the D7000 and whatever MS changed or deleted from their new system. The D7000 does have 2 SD slots in the camera while the D3200 has only one which might be related.
I prefer to just download from cameras using Explorer and not relying on Nikon software and this has worked from Windows XP on up to 8.1 so I'm not sure if it's a NIkon problem. I can insert the Nikon's SD card in my computers reader and it works fine to download in Windows 10. I guess I'll have to figure out how to enter a trouble report to Windows 10 on the USB problem.

Please post if someone figures this out. Thanks

You can provide feedback to MS using the built-in Feedback app in All apps list on Start.

It works fine since the 10074 release for a Canon Rebel EOS with USB. Didn't install any driver.
