I take that back, problem still persist, 2 days in row missed 2 drives, F and G.
I noticed it happened during copying files from G to F.
    First, lost destination drive F.
2nd time, lost source drive G.

To narrow my problem, I'm checking for possible hardware issue?
Checked PSU sata power to HDD 5v , 12v, 3.3v and earth all good and steady.
Ran HDtune benchmark for both HDDs to see if they will lose power during extensive use, transfer rate 190~212 Mb/sec. I'll run the benchmark again more.

I think of Avast internet security as well. Must be scanning while copying files, somehow blocking? The hard drive.
Because last time I lost drive during copy, the copy window froze. couldn't access the internet. Tried to open Avast UI and it's froze. however, I could access to my computer normally.

I don't know anymore it's all random. Gona try:
    - Rebuilding my PSU sata cable.
    - Disable Avast and see if there any difference.
    - Any suggestion?

Here some old threads with similar issue to mine. Sadly with no solution ):

A little bit like whack a mole.

    Is reliability history reporting anything?

Can I ask what kind of HD's you are using and if Western D, the colour?

I ask as I have a WD Red, 3TB. It is my off machine backup for Windows 7. The last four months it won't take a large copy task, its just out of warranty, of course, like copy this drive to that drive without coming up with drive disconnected message. Bought a 4TB Blue, ran same copy, no issues, granted it was brand new with nothing on it. Both were low level formatted before installation.

Regarding your rig, sounds like lots of devices and you tweaked me when you said extensive use. Any chance that the drives are reacting to a heat situation? (Just asking)

Regarding power, while your PSU is reporting okay any chance the mains are experiencing voltage fluctuation, especially in Air Conditioning season. I live in a smaller town and our power use to fluctuate pretty severely, and flicker. I went with PSU between wall and PC. I know you said this started with 10 so I'm stretching.

    Hi,
I'm on 15063.483 now seems okay although I do not use 10 much at all.
A few more options and the blocking of the silly lock screen is working via group policy again :)

Nothing serious reported on reliability history.

They are indeed WD Red, but had this issue before with Seagate and Hitachi. Both replaced with WD Red.
I installed Hitachi on my brother windows 8 PC, and working fine to this day.
Seagate started clicking 2 weeks after replacing Hitachi, got it replaced with another WD Red.

Now I have all WD Red beside my main Samsung.
The first WD Red I had for 4 years now with w7 and 8, mainly a gaming HD, never had any problem copying large files.

Had that heat issue in mind, monitored them all, temperature were all fine.
I have a high end PC, so thought maybe when having it under load, PSU would fail to feed drives efficiently, but that wasn't the case when tested, and problem happens at idle.

Now for an update, I tried copying the same folder again between F and G, it froze 10 sec after, shutdown and powered PC on, went to IE, 2 min later lost internet access, tried to open Avast and the UI froze. went to copy the same folder and it froze 10 sec later.
Restarted PC and uninstalled Avast, restarted again, now I got the folder copied twice between F and G with no problems.
Copying it for the 3rd time right now, so far going smoothly.
So I guess Avast was the problem.
Before updating windows, missing drives would happen with startup or wakeup. But this time when copying only.
I think it fixed the problem, but Avast was part of the issue as well.
Gona wait for few days before checking this solved again.

Thank you Caledon Ken for keeping up with me :)

    Found the source of problem.
It was my PSU Sata socket, can't say for sure, there isn't much voltage drop from 12.05 to 11.91 with 4 HDDs connected, same thing on my 2nd socket, the socket itself looks very good and steady.
But my guessing, it creating some kind of resistance dropping the wattage or amperage?
Removed the socket and hooked my wires directly with the Sata cables, copied large files over 30 times. not once error.
I hope that is really the source of problem and won't come back -_-

For anyone having similar issue, try changing your Sata cables coming out of your PSU with another or external and see if it's help.
I'll check this thread solved for now.
