    Question for partition

Hi, dear forums, I was wondering why do I have this partition created - I have done a clean install of Windows 10 AU, then automatic update to CU? Please, can anyone tell me if I need it, what is it and possibly - how to remove it without 3rd party software. Thank you all in advance.

Hi, sometimes a new recovery partition is created when Windows is upgraded. I have one. You could well ask why the redundant partition isn't deleted automatically - I would guess the answer may be related to being able to roll back to the previous version.

Example of numerous discussions on this:
    I got two recovery-partitions - Windows 10 Forums

Then there's this answer from MS, which I hadn't seen before:

Another point of view, expressed in the above is- it's small, so just leave it... you've plenty of space on C:
Otherwise, it's a matter of curiosity.

And there's probably enough in the thread from this forum I found for you to point you to how to work out what and how to delete without 3rd party tools.

Now the question is: what is the difference between Windows RE Tools and Recovery Image /the first and the last partitions on the original post/. I decided to keep all those partitions anyway and not to go in troubles.
