Whenever I shutdown or restart my PC, it appears to prevent my shutdown. Do you know what it is?
Whenever I shutdown or restart my PC, it appears to prevent my shutdown. Do you know what it is?
Check your shut down and boot times after each of these steps:
In administrative command prompt run:
1) sfc /scannow
If there were integrity violations that were not repairable then run dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
If there were no integrity violations or if integrity violations were fixed perform clean boot:

2) open control panel > troubleshooting > on left pane click view all > run power troubleshooter
3) Keyboard: win + r simultaneously > type powercfg.cpl > on left pane click on choose what the power buttons do > click on change settings that are currently available > uncheck fast start up > save changes
4) open administrative command prompt or administrative powershell and type: shutdown /s
5) open administrative command prompt or administrative powershell and type: Shutdown.exe -s -t 00
Check the time for shutdown and start up for each of the above steps and indicate the results.
