After you've recovered what data you can, check your disk before installing Windows. We've no idea what caused this failure.
You can do that using Kyhi's boot disk available at the top of the Software and Apps section here. Boot your PC from it and run HDTune, one of the available utilities.
Once you have Windows up and running again, start using disk imaging routinely (as we do) to protect your PC, your data, and possibly your sanity. And save you a great deal of time when things go wrong from disk failure to ransomware. E.g. Macrium Reflect (free).
