Action centre and location

Hi
I have noticed like a few others doing a search on the internet that since the Creative update for Windows 10 HOME, the location service Icon will continue to run once you open action centre.... providing you do not open action centre then the icon will come and go as it should, not stay on all the time..
Is this a known issue with the Creative update and can it be fixed?

That's the one.... works perfect until you open action centre then stays on all the time... I did look in task manager and mine did not seem to be using anything so I am not sure if it is just an issue with the icon rather than the location service... will check again tonight :)

That was the post I found and logged it myself on the feedback hub...

Looking in task manager the icon is on at the moment but it does not seem to be using much so maybe it is an icon issue and the location service is not actually running... This is mine now...

Both myself and another member have both noticed that if you install the latest cumulative update, KB4020102 this seems to fix this issue... The location icon comes and goes as always, but does not appear at all if you open action centre :)

Been OK since the update, even though the update mentions nothing about this issue lol

Go to Settings\Personalization\Taskbar\Turn system icons on or off




and turn it off, like I did looooong ago
