Thanks Brink that resolved it an yeap I missed it have been fishing on my cell all day and just wiped out HA HA but resolved.

And I agree AddRAM it was a stupid idea to remove something that is needed more often then not!
Old Control panel is being slowly phased out so they don't want new users to get used to it. Large part has been moved to settings.

So in other words something that has been used for years and users are use to and works just fine is being replaced by something new that will no doubt have bugs in it until they work them out. WONDERFUL!

Many things have changed during the years, I'm still sorry that old, multi pane File Explorer from W 3/3.1 was replaced by this clunky style which hails since W95. It worked all the way until XP if you just copied it's .exe. Luckily Total Commander and many lookalikes came out .
"My Computer" and "This PC" names just don't associate to anything that may have something to do with files.
Name "Setting" is also more natural than "Control panel".

I pinned it to start and with two clicks you're there, same as before.

Don't be so silly - MS have been replacing the Control Panel with Settings menus over several builds. It is NOT new, and the new settings menus are far easier for lesser experienced persons.

All changes have been well tested in the Insider versions - this is one area where any bugs (rare here) are well sorted long before release.

The whole Control Panel had frankly become quite an inconsistent mess but you have not noticed as you are used to it.

At first, I was against its demise, but now I agree with the new menus. The new menus basically put most common settings on primary screens, and lesser ones hidden in sub menus.

Another major plus is the new menus are much easier to use on tablets/touchscreen devices - MS have done a pretty good job overall in ensuring Windows 10 looks and feels the same on any device.

I personally thought it was a ridiculous change in the Creator`s Update, why would they remove the Control Panel option from the start menu right click who would vote yes on that ?

    Long live the AU
They're removing it because of the migration to the Settings app. Eventually all settings will be there.

One of the regular posts/questions we always see when Windows is updated, both complete new versions, (Eg. The update from XP to Vista), and major updates like the recent Creators update is ...

Users always complain that although the User Interface, (GUI), has been updated to a completely new look that Some menu or Message still uses an old format, Quite often this was levelled at the control panel.

Of course there are a Some (generally a small minority), who prefer that their particular favorite remain unchanged - it's a classic case of "Who Moved My Cheese?", it will I think always happen but is not really something that those in Either Camp can do anything about, and it's certainly not worth worrying about

They really should do it all at once, those slow changes are causing headaches. With one version it was in old CP, with the new version it was in Settings, with the next version they have moved it somewhere else again.

I suppose it takes much more than just moving things around.
