"The requested resource is in use" That seems to be the error preventing exe installs of any program and apparently is being caused by "Safe Search" Now to find a way to get rid of that without having to install an AV prog

From your screen shot I can see Super Antivirus something or other so that is what has your AV.

If you were successfully creating your media key and want to do a clean install boot from the USB key. It will act just like an iso, that is it will boot and then install windows.

SHutdown your computer by holding down the shift key and click "Shutdown". Wait 30 secs, boot. There should be a BIOS screen with some option along bottom. One should be to change boot options, maybe F9.

If not enter BIOS, likely F2 (on some machines it is "del". Then find boot order and select USB.

    To BREE---PJLLB---and CALEDON KEN
Thank you for your time and patience hanging with me the last few days. I did a clean install but the installation hung for many hours while adding my existing windows account. Once I made a new account, all went well with the remaining part of the install.
I have many functions that are tied to my old account. Can I change my new account to my old, now that the new "pretty Windows 10" has been installed.

If you have not installed your data back on machine you should be able to create a new user id (on your windows computer) using your old Microsoft account.

I recommend this route as you don't know what is wrong with old account and why it took so long to log in.

I would first goto account.microsoft.com from any browser and ensure you can access account.

If data is already on machine you will need to copy to this new / old account.
