@sliced tomatoes, instead of trying to use the 'Photos' app, open File Explorer and go to your Pictures folder. It's then easy to delete individual files or select some or all of them to delete.

    Hi Wullail.

'Photos'. Clicking 'Photos' brings up a mile of not just photos but bits and pieces of text and even parts of videos. I don't want my computer and internet activities recorded automatically to hard drive as though I have an inbuilt CCTV in my system.

Anytime you view a picture, listen to music, or view a video on the internet, it is saved to a Temp File. How to View Temporary Pictures on Computer | Techwalla.com If you clean out your Temp directory with CCleaner, or by running Disk Cleanup, you will remove these temp files.

Photos can be pulled off of the camera if you have third party software that you are using or opening up when you plug in the SD card or camera. Check the Run As in the Registry and also check default programs to make sure that nothing is turned on to open any programs when the OS sees jpeg, jpg, etc..

I'll check that out, bro67. Thank you.

I've opened my CCleaner and under Tools found 'Canon PhotoRecord' and 'Photos' in the list with options for uninstalling these. (My camera is a Canon).

I'm thinking to copy to a Windows 10 folder the photos and items I want to keep before then uninstalling these two programs.

You do not need those programs from Canon. Just remove them.
