    How Do I Rename a File tat Requires Special Permission?


    I cant rename MAPI32.DLL. When I try to I get a message saying:

    "you require permission from trustedinstaller to make changes to this file."

    How do I get permission?

    I am not sure why you want to do this; however, this tutorial will show you how to take ownership of a system file and also show you how to return the ownership to the trusted installer. Just be careful what you do here:

    Change Owner of File, Folder, Drive, or Registry Key in Windows 10
