    Bing Search history problem

    Hi,
I am using the Edge browser. I have a problem with my Bing Search History. Even though Ive cleared my Bing Search history and set the Search History switch to OFF under Change History settings/Show my recent searches in Search history...I have checked under Privacy/Search in my MS account and it is still being recorded. My History is not switching itself back on or anything like that..it remains off but it doesnt seem to be doing anything as it isnt preventing my searches from being logged. Is this normal behaviour or am I doing something wrong?

That's the site I have used set the History setting to OFF. Ive just clicked on your link and its still showing off but my searches are still being recorded in my MS account Search history. I cant figure this out at all. Strangely though your screen shows several searches on that site. When I view it is blank..as you would expect as the show recent history setting is OFF. But in my Microsoft Account under Privacy/Search all my searches are still being recorded..but not showing up on the page on your link?

Yeah Ive tried to disable Cortana so I have all the switches in Cortana Settings to OFF. The only one I haven't changed is the SafeSearch Setting which I left on Moderate (Default setting)

That's about all I can think of(for now anyhow), sorry
Other than the possibility if you have any other devices sync'd to the same account, that might need to be changed too.

Ive contacted the Microsoft Answer Desk and they've informed me that theres no way of turning off the searches apart from logging out of your Microsoft Account before searching. The Search section on Privacy Dashboard of Microsoft Account is apparently always going to log search entries and cant be turned off. You can only turn the history off in the browser not in the Cloud apparently

You can always try using Edges "InPrivate" if you want to search for something, but not have it recorded, I guess.

Yeah..In Private Browsing is something Ive never used even on older versions of Windows. Ive just been trying to get used to Windows 10 and I only got interested in the Privacy settings because of all the scare stories on the net about Windows 10. Ive read loads of reports saying when you set up windows 10 that you should never take the recommended Express Settings option which I did when I installed Win 10. Ive always used the Express Settings option on every version of Windows theres been. The articles Ive read though talk about there being huge security risks if you don't customise all the privacy settings.
