Oh, now that is a different story because I can place my laptop in sleep just fine. With that said, try disabling the lock screen, reboot, and retest:

Enable or Disable Lock Screen in Windows 10

With that registry modification, when I wake from sleep I go directly to the sign-in screen.
Thanks I may try that on Friday, I just was in that build and now I am back in CU#1

I tried disabling the lock screen and it still will not sleep.

All MS did about the lock screen issue that I reported in build 16184 was move it to a known issue

Navigating to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen may crash Settings app.

@Josey Wales: Could you open an elevated command prompt and run this command to make sure your BIOS is propogating the proper sleep states to Windows:

    powercfg -a

Here is mine and note that S3 Sleep State is showing as available:

That is very true. In my BIOS, I have to disable S4-S5, and only let it use up to S3. Otherwise, sleep will not work. Been like that for me for a long time, even on new machine.

My machine is almost 8 years old so this is what I have and it is set to S3 which works just fine in every build prior to 16184. If it will no longer work on later builds then I am out of The IP program

@ Josey Wales: I see you reverted to 15063 and that S3 is shown as available; however, if it does show as available on later builds, and your sleep does not work, then I agree with your strategy. Moreover, if it does show as available on later builds, and it does not work, then I agree that you have indeed found a bug or an incompatibility to say the least.

Lock screen settings access is now working after upgrading to 16193 on my W10 Home rig:

Note: I do not remember if I checked this functionality when I was running 16188.
