Yep, sounds like Insider issues to me; nothing nefarious to worry about.

Are you using an Exchange Service for email?
Have you tried any of the steps in the link I provided?
This has to do with the Offline Address Book somehow, and some of the O365 instructions can be the same for O2016PP. (note they address even older versions of Office on that page.)
Could also try looking at your scheduled tasks to see if it's something in there (easy to do using Ccleaner).
Hi, thanks for your reply, sorry for taking me so long to answer. I am battling a DCOM 10016 error currently, and I am losing , so I do not feel like looking into this matter further, these days.

One last, OFF-TOPIC, question if I may:

    - Yes, I am using an Exchange Server in my Outlook 2016! I thought this is compulsory. Each time I installed Office 2016 Pro and started adding my E-mail accounts, in Outlook, it is always setting them up with this Exchange Server. I have windowslive, hotmail, and live mail accounts.

Is there any way to stop using this "Exchange Server", is there any way to disable it?

The last few days I was facing, out of the blue, a sever issue : Outlook kept asking for my credentials each time I was running the program!... Deleting Windows Credentials did not help. What helped was to delete my profile and create it again. I sincerely hope this will last, and Outlook will not start demanding my credentials again, each time it runs.

So, is there a way to not use an Exchange Server?

    Thank you.

MS now uses the exchange servers i don't think they have another server now, they did a upgrade to everyone to automatic exchange server on outlook 2016, you would have to call MS and ask them but last i heard they switched to exchange servers on all there email clients .
