    Lenovo Ideapad 300 Battery Issue

    Hey guys,

I still have my Lenovo Ideapad 300 laptop 22 days internation warranty remaining. Battery is dead after every 1 hour or 1 hour 20 mins instead of giving 3 hours as before. What should be the issue ? I tried to install Energy Manager to calibrate the battery but its not installing.

Any idea how to fix it ?

    Regards.

Go to Settings> select System> select Battery> and make your adjustments there:

You can also look at drainage usage by app on the same screen or disable all apps from running in the background: https://www.howtogeek.com/241752/how...he-background/

Or, switch your power plan to "power saver" and it will optimize your battery performance automatically:

    Hope this helps,

    Good luck,

Run a Battery Report to check the health of your battery. That will tell you, amongst other things, the design capacity of the battery and the current maximum charge it can hold. If that's significantly lower than the design capacity your battery is dying. One of mine was down to 50% design capacity when I had to replace it.

Generate Battery Usage Report in Windows 10

All batteries degrade with use. If the full charge capacity is (say) 90% of design capacity, then look at the background apps you may be running, as others have suggested.

I generated the battery report. Can you tell me if there is any good software for battery calibration ?

Well, what does it say the full charge capacity is compared with the design capacity? What does the very last lie of the report say for...

Can you tell me if there is any good software for battery calibration ?
All the software does is automate the process. You can do it manually without any software.

While it’s a good idea to use any included utilities or just follow instructions specific to your laptop, you can also perform battery calibration without any specialized tools. The basic process is simple...
