Desperate - PC just crashed while playing a video and can't reboot

    You've helped a ton. I had to go back into my BIOS to put the windows boot manager at the top of the list, but now everything is booting fine. I'll run chkdsk from the command prompt. What options do you suggest for chkdsk?

    I do an image of my system daily. It is worth it and it is free. Takes about 5 minutes.

    Just ran chkdsk on both drives and everything is fine. Thanks again for the big help!

    This was a good reminder of how important backups are. I've been sloppy but after this I really need to keep on it.
