353.50 is the driver that caused the issue for most users. You can d/l 353.30 from NVidia's site and install it, that's how I did it. It appears the 353.50 update has been removed from Windows Update. Nothing new from Nvidia at this time.

Thanks. My cursor is back to its prime self.

Unfortunately, the option to manually install "optional" updates has been removed from Windows Update... so Windows can now decide to keep overwriting the drivers you install. This may not be a problem once a bad driver is removed from Windows Update, but down the road is going to keep you from installing and keeping the drivers you want to use.

Actually, there is a way to stop specific updates from Windows Update. There is a link on one of the threads that leads to the info required. See this link:

So far no auto update has occurred for my NVidia driver since I rolled it back to 353.30 a few days ago.

It shouldn't as the update was pulled from Windows Update. :)

Every time I go to reinstall 353.30 on windows 10 after removing the old driver I get the error "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". Any idea?

Check device manager and use CC Cleaner's free version to clean out the registry. Shut down and turn off the computer, not just reboot. Check your uninstall list to see if there is anything still there. Otherwise, I am stumped.

Thanks for the response - I must've caught it in between windows auto installing 353.30 (which is fantastic news by the way) and me trying to install it myself. Reboot fixed everything!

My second display went off today and then when I checked windows update I had an update from nvidia. So far so good. No screen tearing or weird cursors.

Is this the old driver? The date seems a bit old but it has definitely fixed the problems?
