Remember yesterday when you found that setting, a little deeper down, where you could toggle it from SATA (maybe AHCI) to RAID? What is that set to?

Guys - I think I am going to give it a rest for tonight...I have been all day sitting next to this thing and it is driving me crazy. Perhaps I should try remaking the stick tomorrow or make a disc if that is possible? what do you think?

still set to raid...I checked every setting...it was in chipset settings

I really dont understand how it can still boot to hard disk if I turn all options off... I have many times in the past used a win 95/98/win 7 boot disk and changed the settings accordingly...I'm no computer expert, but I know that basic boot config page

That's what I thought. If you set it to AHCI/SATA, will the thumb boot?

The USB stick flashes the minute I start booting up every time, irrespective of the boot config settings and then solidly glows once booted up to usual desktop on harddrive
