    Looks like it's temporary as version 1703 OS Build 16176 is working again for me. Just a matter of waiting I guess.

    auto arrange

    Yeah sorry was sure it did when I was checking in a vm.
    I did not close and reopen the window.
    Seem that explorer reads the reg values but no longer writes them in 1703 +.
    I think it may be to do with speed or consistency with opening folders from different paths, especially the user folders.
