    windows 10 home or pro


    can w10 pro stop auto updates , Just asking because I would rather do updates in my own time (to make sure most bug are worked out) What do most of yall use home or pro?

    Yes. For the Creators Update (1703) the options for Pro are described here...
    Windows Update - Defer Feature and Quality Updates in Windows 10
    (for the previous version (Anniversary Update, 1607) see Option Three)

    Kind of funny....in order to get more options to have more control over updates, updating to the latest edition is the best way to do it

    You can stop updates with any version by disabling the Windows Update service.

    Yes, Option Five here...
    Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10

    ...but my preferred method is Option Four, use a metered connection.

    Run Services.msc, Go to Windows Update, Double click, stop the service, set it to disabled, then apply.

    Option 2 on this link I did choose Notify_before_Downloading_and_Installing_Updates.reg Now I can install whenever I want :)
