I posted this on another forum so here it is again: I tried once again, 3rd time, to install Creators update via Windows Upgrade Assistant. The install, each time, has been flawless. The problem is this: Microsoft Office 2016 will not operate. It cannot install the key. I spent 1.5 hours on chat with Office Technical Support people this morning. They worked on my computer, reinstalling and removing and reinstalling again the Office suite. Nothing resolved the problem. After 1.5 hours I decided I had enough so I thanked them and signed off. I did another recovery back to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition so I could use my Outlook and other Office applications. They have escalated the problem to level 2 and will be calling me back next Monday.

I have not had iTunes work for me since 8.1. The important use for me with iTunes is to sync my Outlook calendars and contacts. Doesn't work reliably -- again since 8.1.
ouch, that's not good. It runs ok on our anniversary update machines. Although they weren't upgraded to 10 as they both came with it. I steered well clear of windows 8/8.1 as I could not stand the metro thing and lack of start menu. Sounds like 8.1 hosed it.

It's just that i am sure I saw some problems mentioned on creators update. Wish I remembered where I saw them. It sounds like things are worse for you. As much as I hate the process of uninstalling reinstalling etc maybe it's worth trying uninstall everything Apple related and starting afresh.

things were much simpler under Windows 7!

I don't know about office 2016, however I use Office 2013 Pro Plus and 2 of my computers were upgraded from 8.1 pro to 10, the AU and not CU, in every major upgrade when starting OUtlook as this is always the first office program I access, Office 2013 would do an auto mini install and then activate online. One PC during this CU upgrade failed the online activation I had to do a web page manual activation. I was supplied with a long line of code which I pasted into the online web page and a long string of code was supplied back to me which when pasted in to my the form on my computer activated. I had no other issues with Office Pro Plus 2013

I'm reporting back as the OP. The CU for my Dell laptop running W10 Home was finally installed by Windows Update yesterday. I don't know why it took so long but all works fine apart from the irritation of having to use the useful . reg files on the site to set the font sizes - see post 2 at Advanced sizing of text ... gone with Creators Update ?!

Let's see how long I have to wait for the Fall Update to be released soon.

It’s ridiculous it took so long to be pushed. I finally got my creators update late last month. Almost 6 months after release!!! It’s not perfect but it’s ok. Not exactly worth the fanfare. Not into forcing updates as prefer windows update to do its job but like you I am curious as to how long it’ll take to push fall creators update. I suspect MS will drip feed it to the masses again

Why wait, why not just go to the catalog and grab it. I've found that download to be a lot more reliable than WU anyway.

I think the slow roll out has a lot to do with server bandwidth as much as anything.

Can anyone get the fall Creator update for Windows 10 now, or is it best to wait for it to appear? I am not highly skilled.
I have a clean installation of Windows 10.

Hi, @maranna. Best you wait for next Tuesday. There are no "official" channels for getting the release early, unless you are a member of the Insider Program. Trying to install an update from sources other than Microsoft Official may cause you major headaches. It's less than a week away. If you don't receive it in a timely manner, there are other official methods. But for now, best to wait.
