Wynona that would be so cool. Thanks for the idea. I might start a new thread for it.

Have to ask one more question and will mark this thread solved.
When I transferred my contacts from AOL to my computer to Chrome/gmail I find out the next day all my email contacts, most people that are internet friends that I will never meet have been transferred to my smart phone!!! Duplicates everywhere and I don't have many phone numbers anyway. All my email is now on my phone. I never asked for or wanted that. I don't want my email on my phone how do I fix these problems?

    Hope your procedures go well.

If you don't want email on your phone, why not uninstall Gmail from it. You can keep it on your computer (uninstalling from your phone won't affect the computer), both desktop and laptop, etc. Voila! No more emails on the phone.

Well, I just sent Hubby out to the car to see if I left mine there . . . I was going to test to be sure I could uninstall Gmail.

Yes Wynona Gmail can be uninstalled from the Android phone just like any other app.
The problem might be that she has the Gmail on the phone synced with Gmail
    on the 'puter.

Urk, how do we figure that one out? Because that's probably how she got all those emails on her phone.

Should be in the Play Store Just like MS Store or in the device settings somewhere. Look for "Apps" in Settings maybe?

First we have to find out which phone she has exactly, then go from there.
There no sense in continuing talking about it another further until then.

Yes HG if it is a Android phone, then she can go into app section choose the app to remove,
or if she wants to leave the app on the find how to turn off synch.

In my Contacts on my Android phone (Galaxy S7), I have an option in Settings to "Hide contacts without numbers". Of course, if you then wanted to send an email to someone from the phone, you'd have to un-hide them.

Mine is a Galaxy S4, but you must have a settings page similar. When I swipe down from top (may be different on yours), I get these options. If you disable Sync, all will work...WiFi, Data, etc., but any app such as Gmail will not sync any emails. I do precisely that. May not fit what you're looking to do, but here 'tis....
