No GPEDIT in Home version.

Regedit should work though.

You can set it to 1.

Not 100% sure if it works in Home (I only have Pro) but it should according to Google.

Set what to 1? The default value in that key?

I envy you, under normal circumstances, it is not possible to disable it, because the reg key is random.
Anyway, if you are gonna clean install anyway, you might try removing all policies to see, if it helps.

Did a clean install, same problem. It is a minor problem but still a problem in that it shouldn't be that way.

Not the default value, the value of the DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures key.

Create a DWORD if it doesn't exist and set it to 1.

I found it stopped the "managed by your organization" problem as well.

Set it to enabled, disabled, and back to not configured, had no effect.

Sorry then, I don't know. It worked for me on Pro - perhaps there is something else on Home that overrides it.

Normally you can just copy Pro registry edits to home and they work (I believe) but I've not got any experience of actually trying it as I've never had a Home version.

Hopefully someone else can suggest another way forward that actually works...

The PC with the issue is running Education, which has Group Policy Editor. I posted on the Private Microsoft Yammer group, no answers there either. I'll just clean install Pro on this PC tomorrow or the next day, problem solved. This PC has Digital Entitlements for Home, Pro, and Education. switching versions isn't a big deal, activation wise.

I'm confused. You said you had the problem on Home. Then you said you installed Pro and it was OK.

Now you say you are running Education.

You shouldn't imagine switching to/from Education is normal tested behavior as Education a VL product. Pro normally isn't and Home never is. You can of course switch editions but it isn't really normal practice.

Clean install education and see if it is still a problem. I bet it isn't.

No, first post I said it happened on two PC's running Education. And no such issue on my Windows 10 Home PC. Then latter on I just mentioned that Home doesn't have gpedit.msc. But that was because you had referred to Home in the previous post. Sorry for the confusion. I normally don't run the Home version at all but did this time around for testing. Usually I'm running Pro or Education, and some times Enterprise.
