    Build query

I have my Sandy B set up with 10 Pro and two thing I have noticed between it and the dual boot I set up yesterday (10 Pro) is that the Sandy has build 14393.969 and version 1607 and the dual boot is build 15063.13 and version 1703.

I have just installed a load of updates because I have been away for some time but thought the updates would have set the desktop as the laptop I did yesterday.

Now there are a few little things going on as in I like to have Downloads on my Start menu for easy access but the desktop will only open the location where the laptop has Downloads on the Start menu.

The desktop is also flicking up CCleaner and My Drive even though I haven't asked for them.

Anyone have any ideas as to what has happened - I am really hoping that the updates have not broken the system as it would not make me a very happy camper in light of some of the news I saw while I was away form home.

    Hi ICIT2LOL

Interest build version numbers. One of you devices, I think desktop, build 14393.969, is stuck back on the January cumulative update.

The laptop, build 15063.13 looks like you got the early access to the Creators Updated.

On your 14393 device I would look at your update history. Any failures. I would run the Update Trouble Shooter.

Windows key + S, search bar appears, type troubleshooting into search bar, troubleshooting appears at top. Click it, window opens, lower right side "Fix problems with Windows Update", click. Window opens, click on “advance”, click on Run as administrator, click “Next”. Should run clean. If not run again.

I'm not following what is happening with download folders. Are you saying that if you click downloads, in start menu, on desktop, you see laptop downloads?

Thanks Ken yes mate I used the latest copy of the ISO to dual boot that machine hence the Creator stuff I guess. The Sandy Bridge was an upgrade using an ISO back then the main laptop was also done the same way.

I will check out the troubleshooter suggestion and get back to you.

Now one other little oddity is the two laptops I use the usual admin PW to login in yet the Sandy Bridge I have to use my Microsoft account login ??

Just out of curiosity is there anything I can use from that new ISO to get these odd machines kick started??
