Yes the link in the movie maker in the App Store isn't as far as I can tell the Microsoft version but one using the same name.
Thanks I'll look into that link for moviemaker.

Yes support ended in Jan this year but those who still have the offline installer can/could install the suite after this date. As appears to be the case it is no longer compatible.

I have installed the Creators Update yesterday on a spare SSD to test it, before starting using it as my Primary OS. I got the official MS ISO via the Media Creation Tool and used Rufus to create a bootable USB thumb drive.

After the installation I set up a 4-digit PIN to avoid typing my password.

Today I have altered (disabled) a few settings in the Group Policy Editor (Win 10 Pro). After rebooting I was asked to enter a longer than 4 digits PIN. The log-in screen said something like : "Your Organization (!) requires a stronger PIN from you!" or something like that. Right away I entered an 8-digit PIN, and I was able to log into my account. I am not using an MS account.

Then I went to Settings/Accounts -- Sign In options and removed the 8-digit PIN, in order to reset it.

After rebooting I cannot add a PIN any more. The Add button under PIN is grayed out.

I type this from my, currently, primary OS (Win 10 Pro v.14393.969), so I do not have a screenshot available.
Okay, I have discovered that this has to do with disabling "Windows Hello for Business", in the Group Policy Editor of Windows 10 Pro. For as long as I keep it disabled I cannot set a PIN. When I set it to "Not Configured" I can set a PIN again, with the requirements: at least six, non-consecutive digits / non-ordinary combinations.

I haven't tested the PIN much in this build but for a few hours, before setting my Group Policy the way I'm used to, I used a 4-digit PIN without any issue.

No problem, I'll leave "Windows Hello for Business" not configured.

Noticed to same behavior on my system with Defender... clicking or double clicking does nothing.
Guys I reported this a few weeks ago in FH and already got a response from Microsoft engineer:
Thank you for the feedback. We are working to address opening Windows Defender Security Center by double-clicking the taskbar icon in the next update for Windows.
Not sure what does it mean "next update for Windows" but I hope we don't have to wait till RS3 and will be fixed in one of the upcoming cumulative updates.

I can confirm that Movie Maker 2012 DEFINITELY still works in CU, as I've just completed two movies this morning. My build is 16.4.3528.0331

edit: I see that forum links to downloads no longer work. I zipped my copy and put in my OneDrive. Here's a link - https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnKd3KPS5H-egZ8vxV3nI8pkFL_TfQ
Get it soon, in case this is impermissible, it will be removed by a Mod.

I'm not quite sure what your doing with your settings, but when I updated one of my Windows 10 Pro machines to Creator, my 4-digit pin still worked. On the flipside I've not tinkered around with Group policy disabling this and that. I also use a Microsoft Account. Anyway my 4-digit pin still works.

BTW what version of Windows are you using? Enterprise, Education, Professional?

Re my problem running Macrium Reflect (paid version) after the Creator's Upgrade.

Macrium Support had to reset my account, and it now registers and works.

This was the response from Macrium:
I have Macrium V7 and hope it will be OK!

You can now format USB thumb drives with more than one partition and access them all. That is new and interesting.

You can also format them as ReFS (not all USBs in my tests, not sure which work and which not - seems old ones are less likely to get the option).

Not sure if ReFS is worth considering at the moment but I is certainly an interesting (undocumented) change in this release.

    MediaCreationtool.exe

I'm really enjoying this upgrade from RS-1. I don’t have any migration side effects, only minor issues here and there with original setup. The date format is not an issue, Libre Office is working properly... I Made an ISO image out of the creators tool and it was fast. Downloading ISO took 10 minutes, verifying your download is another 10 minutes.

Rufus seems to take a little longer and the windows.iso file becomes ESD-ISO in Rufus. Rename it ESD-ISO-15063. Will give it a try later on the old sandybrigde machine. Will it install the Pro edition if the ISO was made from this Home Desktop?

Also, update history was deleted after upgrading and the usual 7 drivers list is empty. Is it normal? Run a few of them manually in Device Manager and they were all up-to-date.

    Regards,

PS: screenshot shows disk cleanup after the upgrade. 18.5GB of old stuff are gone and part of Windows 10 history. Bye bye Rs-1!
